The Yale Dabke Group presented an engaging performance to a full house, moving in rhythm with stirring Arabic melodies. The atmosphere in the theater was vibrant, as the group’s movements wove together threads of art, heritage, culture, and communal identity into a unified expression. The audience, representing varied backgrounds, responded with applause as the dancers executed the traditional stomping of the Dabke, marking the close of a night rich with entertainment and solidarity. The program also featured soloists in music and poetry, who offered heartfelt pieces that stirred the attendees, inviting both contemplation and emotional depth. A customary highlight followed, with the entire audience participating in a short workshop on stage to learn the foundational steps of the Dabke. The Yale Dabke Group once again created an evening that resonated deeply with all present.
